The extraordinary musical properties of each instrument are skillfully explored and combined as a whole and the effect is extraordinarily beautiful.
The instruments that are being used - just to name a few - are the Brazilian Surdo, Indian Tabla and Taviel, Malay Kompang and Gendang, the Chinese Drum, the Trinidadian Steel Pan, the African Djembe/Talking Drum and common household appliances. Through the years and over many performances, the Aseana Percussion Unit has made audiences realize that a performance involving only percussions and drums, not only creates wonderful music but is also an entertaining experience.
